Can anyone tell me about putting a forum into Cloud.

My server has Cloud installed, and was wonder what it's like.

Personally, I've never used "The Cloud", per se. It means different things to different people. But basically, it is a server that you can do various things on much like the one you are already using. It's more of a trendy term for a server than anything else.

It's funny how everyone "wants" the cloud but no one can actually define it. LMAO

You say you have "cloud" installed. Do you mean "ownCloud"? That is an actual piece of software.

EDIT: Just thought of this... Or do you have NextCloud?

The host ifastnet.com has Cloudflare  Seems to me I did use this years ago, and it was a headache.

On my VPS server I have to pay for the extras.

Oh, that cloud. LOL Sorry, Ron...been a bit busy.

Yes, that can be a headache but if you go to live chat they should be able to help you. First, you need to make sure that your firewall has their ports open:

https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200169156-Identifying-network-ports-compatible-with-Cloudflare-s-proxy

You can get the free version on a VPS if you do it yourself. Your hosting may have a paid version but you'll have to check with them. If your firewall is CSF then they have preinstalled things that will help, if you enable them. But you'll need to know what type of firewall you have, then open the ports for it first. Then contact CF's live chat or email their support if things don't work properly.
