Yeah this is sad, almost everything that Richard Stallman has predicted has happened. I remember him helping his friend remove the Sim connection on a Nissan leaf because it was tracking the user back in 2014/2015.

He made a comment on how cars will invade your privacy in the future.

Tesla is the worse and others are following with over-the-air software updates.  They can do whatever they want with your car after you've paid for it.

I'll stick with my old Land Rover.

In a world of decreasing government revenues from petrol excise (more electric cars), I guarantee that they will implement a tax per kilometre driven instead. 

Of course the government will never use the GPS data to track where and when you visit certain places...


... until they do.
