Ok so I increase the upload file size on MultiPHP INI Editor in cpanel too 100mb and tried again, same error.

I also tried another image with a smaller file size of 1.5mb but the same dimensions 3648x2736 px that didn't throw any errors

Try using repair_settings and see if one of the url's is off.

It's something server side as that is what the 500 error code means. What version of php are you on. Is the db in strict mode. ??

Look for an "error_log" file in your forum's root directory. There should be more info in there.

I've come late to the party but the issue seems to be fixed now. No more 500 errors. I wasn't around when whoever fixed it.

Bigguy

Glad it's fixed. :) How was it fixed. ??

What's going on is they are trying to upload very large (large in file size...MB) attachments. From everything I know, SMF 2.0.x and earlier versions were never meant to take large attachments. The size should be in kilobytes, not megabytes or higher. Larger files should be uploaded to the server and then linked using the editor with BBC or other codes to make it show. I don't know of any other way. If someone does know then please let us know.

Files that are also too large in width/height will break the forum width.
