Already posted about this in another topic but figured I'd showcase it as well...

This is a forum devoted to Christian metal (as well as other genres of Christian music). It's only been up for a couple of weeks so there's not a lot of content yet but I am up to 5 members besides myself, mostly from the All Consuming Podcast Discord server.

It helps to know people who are interested in the subject at hand. It's a slow start but I think with enough work I can get things going strong. I have further plans/ideas for it but would like to build content and such first before I expand into other territories. The biggest thing right now is just getting people to join and such. I haven't really mentioned it much outside here and the SMF website (and the ACP Discord of course).

I think your off to a good start, especially if you haven't mentioned it much. You should do well with a site like this.

Finally added a links section since the SMF Links mod is now compatible with 2.1. I still think it's ugly but it's better than nothing (NIBOGO said he wouldn't be making his SMF Link Directory mod available for 2.1).

Is there a way to put the top 5 at the top, like above the links. It looks good though. Are icons next to each category possible :???

Yes, you can add icons, see them in my forum:

That looks good. To me anyway.

I'm using Dougs Affiliate mod for links as it looks so much better! I just changed the texts "Affiliates" to "Biker Links" to suit my needs.

You can see it in action here!

Only downside is it don't have categories yet but I think Doug might add that possibility later! ;)

Edit: May have to be logged in to see some features so I added a screenshot below! 8)

That is nice. I'll have to look into it further.

I miss the days of LSP Enigma (for those who don't remember and/or weren't around back then, Enigma was an SMF port of an old YaBB SE portal mod, which included a built-in links management module among other things)

LOL! I've forgotten all about Enigma! I did like that one. :)

Oldiesmann

You can still get it on SourceForge but so much has changed in 16 years I doubt it would even work anymore.

No thanks! LOL I don't use outdated software.

Still going slowly but got another new member who apparently found the site from the Showcase topic I posted over at simplemachines.org - he liked that post.

I also need to tweak the theme a bit - I need to figure out how to get the sidebars to have better styling and (un)liking a post reloads the page instead of just sending things through via AJAX. The AJAX thing shouldn't be too hard to figure out - it's the sidebars that are going to be a pain because the theme is a bit fancy, using CSS variables for most of the properties and not having some classes like titlebg and windowbg. It also uses Sass for something, which I'm not at all familiar with.

I'm also planning to add Spotify embedding via bbcode once I get that working properly (updating/rewriting an older Spotify bbcode mod - I've got it mostly working, except for switching between source and WYSIWYG modes in the editor)
