How do I prevent discord links from being included:
- in posts?
- in signatures?

and yes I mean discord specifically, not all links (the latter will be member group based)

Please do not PM me with questions on astrophysics or theology.  You will get better and faster responses by asking homeless people in the street. Thank you.

Here's what I've done for many years on my Docskillz site. I created a "DS User" group. This group has all normal permissions and has a 10 post count to be able to use it. I then edited the new user group so they can't post links, send pm's to anyone other than admins, no sigs or links, etc. In this way, they can't cause much trouble except for posting.

If I see they are a legit user or just someone I already know, then I'll manually put them into the "DS User" group to spare then any further inconvenience.

EDIT: Just remembered... Go to Admin -> Members -> Permissions -> Settings. Make sure to enable the two settings that are there or you will not be able to deny permissions nor set post count based groups.

1.  Enable the option to deny permissions.
2. Enable permissions for post count based groups.

I think there is a no follow mod out there on the mod site. Have you checked there. ???

That is for all links though. its only discord i want to kill really. There are legit reasons for people to post links.

I think I'll just figure out a way to make it so people under 10 posts can't post links...

How did you do this please?
I can't see the options to change those anywhere.

Sorry, Landy... " new user group" should've been "Regular Members" group.

I made a group based off the "Regular Members" group, renamed it to "DS User" group. Then edited the "Regular Members" group to suit my needs. In this way all new users will not be able to post links, etc. providing that you do the following first:

QuoteEDIT: Just remembered... Go to Admin -> Members -> Permissions -> Settings. Make sure to enable the two settings that are there or you will not be able to deny permissions nor set post count based groups.

1.  Enable the option to deny permissions.
2. Enable permissions for post count based groups.

Then make sure your "Newbie" group's setting for this is:
Quote"Inherit permissions:
Select "No" to enable group to have own permission set."

...is set to "No" so that post count group has its own permissions.
