Happy New Year everyone.

Just a message for those who, even occasionally, put stuff up on YouTube.

I have created a new YouTubers community forum, for creators to get together and learn from one another.  I did this because of the failure of YTTalk (complete spamville these days).

Why not pop to https://ytyak.com/ and join up?! Post an intro and join in the discussions. In the video and channels section you can create a thread for your channel and post the videos you create.

Forum wise its PG-13 (family friendly chat).

I'd also very much appreciate if you could spread the word to other YouTube creators you may know.  Thanks!

Having real trouble getting traction for YT Yak.
Mentioned it on reddit and got hammered for it.

If anyone has any ideas about how I can spread the word/ attract members I'm all ears :)

Have you posted it on simplemachines.org and have you mentioned it in any videos you do, if any. ??

Well, after going over the site (and not trying to rain on your parade and just being honest) you seem to be trying to create a site based on a giant. However, the things you seem to want to show on your site are already on YT in various ways and many levels. You seem to want to rehash what is already on it...or am I reading this all wrong? :dontknow

There are already tons of vids on how to make them, how to edit them, the comments are full of what people think, etc. It seems as if you are trying to draw them away from YT. If so, that is probably not going to happen.

Correct me if I am wrong but I've made a few vids on YT and found all of the info I needed there... You may need to find something different that it doesn't have and they can't take it away from you. ;)

No that is pretty much the problem. There is a large reddit community so a forum of sorts can be sustained, but TWO forums - yeah probably not.

The idea was to replace an existing YouTube talk forum which was just was FULL of spammers so new members would disappear quickly.

If it fails it fails but I would really like it to succeed.
