Mine is an oldie, lol. Primarily used for web work and videos and gaming and anything else I can get outta it, lol.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 ghz quad core
Power supply is really not worth mentioning, I think 650 watts
8gb DDR2 dual channel ram
Nvidia Geforce gt 730 4gb ram
3 tb hard drive
2 smaller backup drives
1 18 inch monitor and 1 24 inch monitor

That's the bar bones of it. I run the latest W10 Pro Eval copy 20277.fe

Share your computer specs here and tell is what the main uses of your computer are.

My main use is video (DaVinci Resolve 17) and a bit of gaming, lots of youtube watching and the usual website management and office stuff.


For me my current system is:
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX960
PSU: 1200W Thermaltake (running this computer and my NAS)
Mobo: Asus Z170I Pro Gaming LGA 1151 Mini ITX
CPU:  Intel Core i7 6700K
RAM: 32GB
SSD: Samsung 950 Pro Series 512GB M.2 SSD (boot/system/office)
SSD2: Samsung 840Evo 500Gb (game library)
HDD: WD Blue 6TB
Case fan: Noctua 6 x 120mm fans (noctua Phanteks)
CPU Cooler: Noctua something or other.
OS: Windows 10 Home


I also have a couple of laptops in varying degrees of working or not, lying around running linux.

Thanks for the info! :) I planned on doing some research to see who was going to fork it and make a list to help people...many will need it.

I have a very small hosting business and the dedicated server I have uses CentOS as well and the few VPS servers on it. But the support will last until the end of next year so we've got time to sort out the options. I'm just glad it's not something immediate.

I wasn't liking how things were going with CentOS 8. Seemed like a lot of bugs and lagging on the updates so I held off on installing it and stayed with v7, atm cause it's more stable.

I just setup another Centos 8 server the other day....
This one also might be an easy one to move to https://linux.oracle.com/switch/centos/

Otherwise, going to have to learn a new distro.

RedHat announced it will stop all support for CentOS at the end of 2021. They are migrating to a streamed version and everyone is pissed off! :bnghd
