As of this post we are running the latest version from GH. Please post here if you find any problems please. Mod installation and customization will start tonight and/or tomorrrow. :rgton

Bigguy

I will get the rest of the customization done soon.

SychO

Do you re-make the css changes on every update ?

Bigguy

No, for the most part I use this:

http://winmerge.org/?lang=en

So, before an update I save all the stuff I edit. Then do the update. Use winmerge and install mods. :)

SychO

Well I was thinking perhaps instead of editing CSS, you should just create a new css file where you overwrite the index.css's css properties with your own so that on every update all you have to do is re-add the line which adds a CSS file.

Just a thought, although if the amount of CSS you edit isn't actually that much than it's not worth it.

Bigguy

It's a good thought and thank you for that. I'm not sure I edit enough css to make this worth it. Also, right now with updating all the time from GH, it's nice to see any changes from file to file if there are any.

Bigguy

I think all the custom edits are done now. One mod left to install and that should be it...I think. :vcool

I was wondering what sort of damage it'll do to mine when RC2 comes out in due course....  I'm not sure what edits I've made to be honest !

I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

Bigguy

You should keep track of that somehow. I usually download a copy of whatever file I edited and put them in a folder on my desktop. :2cts

LandyVlad

Yeah I really should !

Talking of downloads, and while you're updating.  There's been a load of fixes applied to the TP downloads system over the last few days, last one added this morning.  There's a new TinyPortal 1.6.3 zip waiting in the beta thread. ;)

Bigguy

I will go get it this afternoon and install it. Good to hear things are movin along with it. :rgton

We found some stuff that wasn't working well at all in the downloads sys, the editor for one, plus a few other bits.  We're just waiting for RC2 and then we can do some final checks and get TP 1.6.3 released as well.  ;)

Bigguy

Good to hear. :)
