I think he has some setting set on Amazon that requires Multi Factor Authentication, I have this on my Wordpress site.
I'm able to log in to Amazon just by using my YubiKey.
VicRoads (DMV) has removed passwords and I just use my YubiKey to log in

I have 2 Yubikeys that I bought maybe 6+ months ago but have yet to use them. I think that I just forgot hat I had them.  

I do plan to start using them soon.

I have 4 now, I got the new ones for the updated firmware the stored fido2 credentials has gone up from 25 to 100 now.
You are unable to update firmware you need to buy new keys, I think yours should have the latest version.

Well, I finally NEEDED to use it. LOL The pin login for Windows got corrupted and nothing I did fixed it. I also had the YubiKey setup as a secondary login. However, I forgot what I did with the password. LOL

On Christmas, of all days, I remembered that I send it to myself in an email so that I could access it via another device, if needed. I had to wade through about 1.5 years of emails to find it, though. But, I'm back in.

From what I just read, my firmware should be good. But, they don't state anywhere on the site or in the Authenticator app. The app shows me what firmware version I have but doesn't have a way to update it through the app.

Welcome back, you can't update the firmware it is flashed once during manufacturing if you ever need new firmware you need to buy new keys.

Well, that sucks! But, it sounds like a good money making racket.

Yeah it is a good way to make money. I'm not sure if the firmware has to be written once to comply with FIDO?

I did make sure that the authenticator app was updated by downloading the latest.

I think I'm gonna wait for a bit to use them. Seems a bit to much work to login somewhere.

Actually, it's not a lot of work. Once it's configured, you can use a password, fingerprint scan, store passkeys and more. The best thing is that if your device gets stolen or hacked, they will need the Yubikey to access it. They also have an Authenticator app.

Well, I don't know. seems as if it's still in the early stages. I have heard a lot about it but still just not sure.
