When he gives you access to the server, it will only be your part of it and nothing else. So, if you do mess something up, it will only be your forum. I'm sure has has backups in place and should also learn how to do your own backups. However, with your internet speeds it may take awhile. LOL

But, it's all part of the process. Once you do it, you'll see that it's not as hard as you may think.

I think the domain may have confused you, smfhelper.org is the server domain.
Back a long time ago when Bigguy and myself use to run hosting. smfhelper.com/info was the forum, smfhelper.org was our server domain and smfhelper.net was used by me for email.

They all point to different things, you can get a subdomain under the server so bob.smfhelper.org, as Skhilled said it would be your own space. You won't be able to edit or modify anything on this site.

Even if you did break the server somehow it is backup daily as an image and takes 10 min to restore we would only lose some posts.
Websites are also backup daily at a different time so we may be able to restore some posts from the database backup.

Thanks Guy's .I kinda understood . I built these working sites many years ago using dial up and Win 3.5 and it did take forever even with ftp prog I had back then . THings have changed a wee bit over 25 years in coding auto load and the whole shebang . I just need to get my feet wet again in this and once I get fiber at 200 mbps speeds I will jump in . I went to the FIR RISIN store  on Friday and I knew more than the HEAD TECK GUY there about the problem I have with  my Jet Pack, Mobil Hot Spot, and Tethering on my phone . THey are BRAINWASHED to Sell you new phones and upgrade services and he kept saying the reason my 2 year old Sam Sung GHalaxy phone 5G would not send photos to just SOME people including my wife when texting is because the Software was outdated and they did not suport it . Which is plain BULL DOOKEY. The phone worked perfestly before it got an updated last week and showed me a NEW SERVICE package with NEW Phones for only 1200 dollars and I said I was Born at Night but not last Night and the prob was WITH VERIZON not the phones . They called their SECRET NUMBER to the Verizon Gods while I was there using my phone and Immidiately I got a HUMAN Plain Spoken Person and I described the problem. She said thank you for being a FIR RISIN Customer (SUCKER) for 18 years we are Sorry (I should have said YES YOU CERTAINLY ARE ) I then sumarized the problems I had and she said well again we are so sorry (the temptation  again was almost overwhelming to agree) and told me of the Sooooer Dooooper Deals they had on new phones and services and I told her as pleaslently as I could with my soon to be removed teeth biting down on my Bruised Tongue  I was not intrested in any form or fashion that my wifes Phone worked fine  with the exception she could not send photos in Texts nor receive ones from me and my friends in the area worked fine and they had better connecton speeds  da da da dad da da . She Said Let me connect you to someone who can help you . DUHHHH !

I got suposedly the KING OF FIR RISIN who said sorry da da da da da and  at this point I had to voice my oppinion and agree completely just HOW SORRY they were. Dead Silence .......
 Store manager said we are going to have to close now to which the Sooper Visor on phone over heard as we are on speaker phone and Phone GOD said we will call you back tomorrow about this and what time would be good for you . We agreed on 9AM local Texas time .
 You will NEVER GUESS what did not HAPPEN the NEXT Morning at 9 AM Texas Time .
  So around 10:30 Texas time I called the Secret Number I had saved on my phone  and it wanted me to enter my 7 digit store managers number which of course I NO GOT soooo I punched in 7777777 then it wanted the last 4 digits of  Employee SS number WOOOOPS no got either soooooo made one up . Hello store number blah blah blah how can I help you . OH you are NOT the Store manager at Who Ville FIR RISIN STORE . ERRR NOPE I replied but they gave me this number to call.....lol
 He said well I will connect you with the proper dept.
  I left out the part where after I got home from the store the guy had fiddled around with all my settings and stuff on  my phone and fixed it where I could not hook up to my computer and get my photos or any files as all it would do is show a pop up saying battery charging only .For other usb options click on other usb options which there was NO CLICK ON OTHER USB OPTIONS. Gobs of other things messed up as well to which I told this New Guy . I asked him if he was savy enough in the workings of the phone and stuff and if he could get the connection speed back up where it was supose to be ,fix the no photos being sent to folks just days before worked perfectly JUST SOME not all.  He said oh yes I am trained to do everything . Let me look up your account .    Thank you for being a FIR RISIN  Customer for so long 
Oh I see you have had a lot of problems over the years . From what I see you will need to get New Phones . THATS when I taught him EVER SLANG WORD and SOME I made up about FIR RISIN and  people indigenous to his country to which their was and what FIR RISIN could do with their Phones and Discontinued the Call .
   Within a minute I got a call and TEXT from FIR RISIN. The text said soory but something went wrong (BOY WHAT A TRUE STATEMENT) but your call got disconnected we will try and return your call momentarily. Sure nuff the phone rang
  I reluctantly answered in a GRUFF voice and The guy said (Same Guy I taught STREET VERBIAGE TO) I am sooooory  let me see if I can help you.
  So after another Hour of arguing about that  it is NOT MY DAMN PHONE it is something on your end we started trouble shooting some things and he put me on hold and I KNOW he did something on their end and Photos in Texts started working again . Didn't buy NEW PHONES .
 But still could NOT get files from phone to computer . He  said  Try another USB Cable ,turn off your phone ,reboot your computer ,hold your phone over you head and say alah alah alah chity chity chity bang bang,  close one eye ,then the other and other superfolous absolute nonsensical things  then Again with the Need NEW PHONES .  I reinterpreted  that Wifes phone hooks up fine . He Said oh ! let me look at this . On Hold . He comes back and  says I see nothing wrong so it must be your phone . I said HOW !!! He said I will have an ADVANCED TECHNISHUN call you within 7 Days about this. I bet Frogs wil Grow Bumpers on thier asses so they won't  Bruise them when they Hop before I get that Call. I have only spent around 22 Hours on phone and 4 at the store this week not to count countless hours of my own research time on this .
  I was able to figure a way to connect ny phone to computer to get  photos and files . THing is it would SHOW phone and open on computer but no files !!! Files were there just not showing in folder .
 GOOGLEY helped me resolve but it is NOT the way it is supose to be . Wifes phone connects fine .
 There is a lot more but this is some of the crap I went through

 You can pay thousands for the latest and Greatest New Tech phones . You  can unlock phones . My phones are only 2 yrs old and You got  Only a few choices in service  as  a Couple of 
companies own ALL the Cell towers and access . They sell Band width to other companies and they promise all kinds of fast service and support but it all still works off the towers that don't work for you .....lol
 Bandwidth allotment is what it is all about and signal strength THEY CONTROL.

As far as locked phones go. There is a method to their madness. Read the fine print VERY carefully. This is why I always buy unlocked phones. I don't have to do anything but change providers and maybe the SIM card. 

Yes, they control the bandwadth but there are ways around it. as I've pointed out early in this topic. I don't have bandwidth issues in over the 2 years I've started using my Moxee hotspot and it will work with any device and is very secure.

 Yes Moxee guarantees bandwidth and it works fine up to That Band width ( But at What Speed?) then nada you have to buy another card time .
Other companies , like Fur Risin, t-Mobil,Pure Talk, Mint ,Consumer Cellular,AT&T and Countless others l all of which work off the SAME TOWERS. Your MOXEE is for internet Mobile Hot Spot. Phones that have Mobil Hot Spot and Jet Packs are sold Bandwidth with the exception in of course UP TO a certain amount and speed up to but NEVER gets there like my speed is supose to be up to 100 or more . It never gets past 24 and once the bandwidth is exceeded drops back to nill but still have connection whereas
  IF you exceed on your Moxee which you say you have 50 g and don't use it you are fine but if you do exceed you have to purchase another card . It does not matter how fancy your phone is or if it was free you are limited to a certain amount of use and are at the mercy of the amount of users in your area as to bouncing off the same tower with other companies who over sell their share of allotted bandwidth. In other words you and four others pay to use up to 1 quart of gas out of a gallon can .
One guy grabs 1.5 quarts another only .5 quart another 1.5 you want 1 quart . You do have some gas but not the full quart .
It also depends on times of day or night when there are more people online  or 20 people trying to get a quart of gas out of the Gallon can . You will get SOME gas and maybe some Vapors but that's All Folks......

I am curious what speeds are you getting out of your Moxee setup at different time of the day Is it ALWAYS like 200mbps or varies .

The Moxee's speed is 5G, most of the time. Once in awhile it goes to 4G but not often. The price for the card is $50 for 100GB. And as I've siad, I barely go up to 30GB/month and have gone slightly above 50GB maybe twice. Yes, it's a Hotspot but it is portable and I can take it everywhere with me. If something happens to my phone, I still have high speed internet by using the Moxee. I also use it for my home internet.

For $50 I usually by 2 at a time with is usually comparable to what others pay monthly. Since I've been buying 2 at a time, I'm currently paid up until June and still have 4 cards that I haven't added yet. They do have other cards for smaller amounts. But I'd rather pay for the $50 ones.

I've never actually tried to see what mbps it uses cause I didn't need to, it's fast and I have no problems with it. I use it all day long while I'm, at work for my cell to save on data and use it at home for my PC. I run a server and have to update and move files, etc. I'm very happy with it and it suits my purposes.

download speed and capacity   is essential to keeping up several websites and or periodic  complete back ups as at theis point I time out trying to do so with Fur Risin . And after researching a bit 5 g is really not better than 4g as they still dont really have the resources to make it work in rural areas such as mine plus it has it's hangups as well . I am what they call on the Fringe for every Damn service anyone offers but it is odd some do actually work better than others and they use the same tower out here as verison . When I heal up better I am going to get fiber from Brightspeed and be guarnteed 200 mbps unlimited so they say  . 29.99 monthly . Moxee  out here uses VERIZON so am screwed there too .
 So far I have yet to get an intelligent LIFE FORM at Wally World to help me in getting a Moxee set up. One person says they don't have the unit ,and another says yes they do ,one says to order online . Online says units are back ordered and try your local store . I ask if I can just rechip my 350dollar jet pack and again one says yes and others say NAY .  Prety much like the Government . They put people in charge of stuff that has no clue about it . I may go talk to the janitor at my local Walmart ( 70 mile round trip ) and see what they recommend.
