QuoteThis application mirrors Android devices (video and audio) connected via USB or TCP/IP and allows control using the computer's keyboard and mouse. It does not require root access or an app installed on the device. It works on Linux, Windows, and macOS.

I remember reading about this some years ago but it had problems back then. Now, it has great reviews. But beware, DON'T download it from Google Play Store or anywhere else other than the Github site:

Thanks, I will play with this on the weekend.

I've been a tad busy lately but am dying to try it. :)

I removed some bloatware apps from my tablet the other day. You don't really need the Scrcpy bit as you can just use the ABD that is incorporated in it.

Download the attached and use the screengrabs etc that I created. You don't need an account the file will download without going to RG. I usually use FileFactory but unfortunately they decided to upgrade it and now they have totally messed the whole thing up and no one can get on their site to recover an files stored there, I have 1.2TB of info on FF and can't get to any of it

I can guarantee no viruses etc in the files

This is why I don't like using things like FileFactory, "the cloud", etc. Tooooo unreliable!!! I'd rather buy extra USB sticks and/or external drives. No fuss, no, muss, and my files don't go "bye-bye". ;)

Now that I've got Scandisk USB sticks, they come with Free Acronis Backup and I can backup anything on my drives. :)

Dave

Don't get me wrong I have 4 NAS drives which combined have more than 15TB of storage on them, but I like to have backups everywhere I can just in case sh*t happens and if I didn't have the online storage I wouldn't be able to share my files with you  :D I couldn't post the files on here as they total up to more than 23MB

It's each to his own I suppose

I've been using scrcpy for years now to interface with my phone because I can't use a touchscreen.
