Thing is I am Happy with the way things are running and would certainly like to upgrade IF the the Do-Lollies I got would still work ....lol
2.0 I understand will NOT work with the newer php progs. so go -daddy is gonna charge me to keep retro working so to speak my 2.0 sites. Before this I would HAVE to upgrade period. What ever happened to backward compatible ? Eh ? Like a 58 Chevy 283 Valve cover gasket still fits all small blocks up to the 1980's
I still use Win 1.0 and 95 , 98, 98SE, Vista,7, 10 and many newer sites /companies won't even let you search their stores without at least 10 now .so I have to switch over to a newer browser and progs just to buy sumpin .

You've probably heard this many times before but GoDaddy is horrible! I used to use them and then ran away from them and spend a number of years helping people move away from them. LOL

The problem with old software and hardware is that the companies who made and support them no longer support them which makes them prime targets for hackers, etc. :(

EDIT: Don't get me wrong. I'm certainty not hating on you. :)

I've never used GoDaddy for hosting, but I did use one of their companies for domain registration until the whole thing with SOPA, at which point I moved to name.com instead. I've heard nothing but horror stories about their hosting though.

I totally got it .Just like some of my clunkers won't even run on the lilac water fuel they sell today .I have to get 100L at the airport when I can afford it . Stuff NEVER GOES BAD  but you can not use it in anything with a catalytic convertor.
I will come right out and say it GO DADDY SUX  big time in my opinion so they can't sue me  . I  nearly stroke out every time I try and talk to them or VERIZON for that matter .
Back in the Day when peeps wrote new software they would for example keep code in  for older apps . Granted with all the New  coding languages maybe that can not be done or they just don't want to do it .  Designers Engineers and big companies would cease to exist if they didn't make ya buy new improved, faster, prettier, less durable , limited time use, dissolving after so many washes, degrading wiring and capacitors that bulge out in a couple of years ,designed obsolescence , with the exception of the PET ROCK but the packaging deteriorates very quick so wnadda ya gonna do ?
I am gonna gripe ,moan ,and groan about stuff till somebody gives me a Black Eye .

Then I am gonna gripe, moan and groan with a Black Eye

And don't get me started about Verizon.  >:( >:( >:( I used them for many year because that was the only company available where I live now. They had me on DSL while some others in the same area had high speeds.  :dontknow Whenever I'd ask them about upgrading, they would say that it's not available.  >:( >:( >:(

I eventually found out about Moxee Hotspots. I can use it for my home internet and most of my cell usage.  ;D The hotspot is very small, smaller than most cells which makes it portable. I also use it for my tablet and almost carry it with me everywhere. If my cell goes down for whatever reason, I just switch to my hotspot. It works like a router and has a lot of the same features. You also access it the same way.

The device cost me $50 and it costs me $50/month for 100gb/month! I have rarely used 50GB in the 3 years that I've have it. Keep in mind that I only pay $30/month for my cell and rarely go over that because of my hotspot. LMAO

They do have various devices but I've never had a problem with it yet. :)

That is indeed interesting and definitely worth looking into as long as the company does have not  allotted bandwith and peeps all use it at the same time  and slows ya down to snails pace. Plus is it satellite or tower.
Thanks I will give them a call cuz every nickel counts with my income  now .

I've been using it for about 3 years now and am very happy with it. 100GB is a lot and I've never had any problems with support. You get 4G-5G speeds. I usually get 5G speeds and I'm not a speed hound so it works for me.

Because it's only $50/month and not the $125+ I used to pay for my Verizon internet, I now have been paying double for my internet cards so that I get 2 cards for $100...still less then what I was paying for Verizon/month. That's for 2 months and I'm now paid up until June. Each month or so I buy 2 cards from Walmart and add them to my account so that I stay ahead of the game. ;)

Oh, I do LOVE to cook. I started baking when I was 5 with my grandmother. From there I started teaching myself a lot about cooking and baking and still do it. I cook a lot more than I bake but I do plan to make some pretzel bites this weekend. :)

I forgot to mention that you can buy the hotspot and the data cards at Walmart.

Bob Clifton

Yep saw that . Gonna check it out . I have the Hot Spot device BUT , FUR RISIN cost me for 2 phones and the Hot Spot 146 bux a month . So I can sure use the help .

I been cooking since I was a WEEE WILLIE. Had to or starve . Was on bbq circuit for about 10 years . Built my own Barbeequemovista I called it . I know we are getting off topic but I started the Thread and it don't bother me  if the moderators don't mind and or are sticklers like some forums and go NUTZ if something is off topic . I have hundreds of all types of Recipes on several of my sites if anyone is hankerin to see em and if I can remember which sites have them .

Skhilled

I guess that you haven't noticed but I am THE only moderator. LMAO

I used to BBQ a lot but haven't in recent years and have created my own recipes. I've ended up teaching myself recipes from around the world. For instance, I would go to French site, yes in French, and converted it to English so that I could learn how to make their recipes...especially their sauces which I LOVE. I've done the same for Italian, Russian, and many other languages. I own a lot of the recipe magazines including the first versions. I also have over 1oo book on recipes in my Kindle app on my PC and my tablet. I belong to a ton of recipe/cooking sites for many years. :)

I love creating my own recipes and/or creating ones that marry 2 or more different recipes from various countries or genres. :)

I generally just start sauteing or brazing or whatever and start seasoning to my taste till it is edible  .Hardly ever measure anything  of course except for tricky breads or pastry. Grow a lot of my herbs and all my other vegies in organic pesticide free beds. And since you is da El Heffie carry on .......... :vcool

When you've been doing it for a long time, you learn how to taste and season and you go. Also, learning various techniques will help a lot. :) For most recipes, I rarely measure unless I'm trying something that I've never tried before. I can make my own fresh pasta and fresh ground sausage. However, I've never tried to make links yet.

I can't grow anything. I tend to kill it. :rflmao  But, I used to use the AeroGarden which worked great for me. :) Unfortunately, they stopped selling it around here and I gave up on it. But, I plan to start it up again with herbs. It's 'very easy to use and will remind you if it needs anything. :) You can find it a variety of online sites like these:

I have dabbled in Pasta Making, all types of Sausage,Jerky,Chili, Salsa, Breads and some Wine . FRESH IS BEST No Doubt About IT. Can my own vegies etc. New kids just go to Restaurant or buy crap processed all to hell.
I process my own Deer cut all the sinew out .
Commercial processing around here you never know whose Deer you get back and they don't do a proper cleaning or grind .
People say they don't like wild game . It is because it was not prepared properly . Plus they don't know how Natural grown stuff is suppose to taste. I have NEVER eaten at Mc Donalds in my LIFE.
!!!! NEVER TRUST A SKINNY COOK !!! lol
