After migrating my SMF 2.1.5 forum to a new host using LiteSpeed Web Server, users cannot see attached images in posts. The attachment icons appear, but clicking them gives a 404.

Could LiteSpeed be blocking the dynamic attachment PHP script (index.php?action=dlattach)? Has anyone experienced this and found a specific LiteSpeed configuration rule to fix it?

Personally, I haven't used Litespeed yet. So, maybe someone else may be able to help.

It's a 404, so my first suspicion would be paths...

Check paths & urls out in repair_settings.php.

Diagnosis utility might help.

I'm not familiar with Litespeed, but it's supposed to be a drop-in replacement, so my suspicion is it's not a factor.  Lots of users, no reported issues, on the smf site.

My server that is on GeekStorage is on LiteSpeed. No difference in configuration that I know of...

 If so dat ain't Gute ? What is thier ip ?

I just accidentally discovered this from a pvt message a guy sent me on another site.
On some platforms especially phones if you do not place a space  after a period it will make the next characters a hyperlink causing the link or so possible link will be highlighted some actually redirect  to some other place like China if you click however most resolve to nothing . So the original poster may not have know he was doing it.

No, guests can't post here. That user did create an account and logged it. That's the only way you can make a post.

He knew, it was a bot the other post had a hidden link in the post. From memory I think it was on a dot.

He was a normal user got through the bot checks, Bigguy warned him then maybe he removed his account but kept his posts and that is why he is showing as a guest now.

Gotcha on the Guest . I figured that he was put there by Bigguy. IF he actually embedded a link it would show up when a Mod or admin opened it to modify the post so how I ended up on this thread is believe it or not I googled the prob with another site where I got an eroneous embedded link in a private message and the sender did not realize he had embedded it . Google sent me to this Thread . Pretty DAMN SLICK if a bot posted the query ...

I banned him. He had embedded links in his posts. They have been removed as well.
