All the Win11 BS I was afraid of was eliminated with one setting: disabling widgets in the status tray.

That got rid of all ads/popups/intrusive alerts.

I'm actually kinda happy with Win11 now.  Or...  At least not pissed off...

I get a few ads here and there but there just in a few programs...or widgets I guess they are called now, lol. I don't use them enough to be bothered really. Plus, my install is an upgraded W10 version so that may have something to do with it as well, not many ads I mean.

I haven't seen an ad yet. I locked it down when I first got the new PC with Win 11 on it. I also don't use Bing, Chrome, etc. (and haven't in decades, LOL) and have Copilot/AI disabled as well as a number of other things that I deemed as privacy issues.

But, I am interested in this because it seems to work somewhat similar as PowerToys. :)
