We have just successfully upgraded to SMF 2.1 RC2 If you see any problems please post about them in the appropriate area, thank you. :vcool

Somethin goin on with the search. It's the only bug I can find right now. Pops up once and awhile. Won't accept custom index or full text index for searches. Not sure why.

That's why I didn't install it straight away. Only on my local. I managed to find two bugs straight away, first one caused the download to be replaced

Second one is search related, https://github.com/SimpleMachines/SMF2.1/issues/5558

Bigguy

I was upgrading and I was gonna post about the first one and found your post, lol. Same with the second. Just as it was getting annoying I looked on GH and there it was fix and all, lol. Nice job for sure catchin those two. :rgton :ys

Bigguy

All should be done now....I think.

Nice one.  :rgton  I applied the version changes and it seemed to fix it for now.

LandyVlad

so RC2 formally released and just these two bugs found so far? And both have fixes?

Two new bugs + plus the Alerts is still pants you mean.  ;D

Shame about the Alerts, I was hoping they'd fix some of it in RC2, obviously got my hopes up prematurely. I'm sure they will get there eventually.  ;)

LandyVlad

So is there any actual advantage in an upgrade from RC1 to RC2?

Well all the changes can be found here, https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=566669.msg4013671#msg4013671

LandyVlad

Thanks. I suppose I'll have to get around to it at some time.

I need to update my forum and the two others I run for someone else to RC2 when I get a chance.
