I was trying to edit a post here and clicked "Quote" from another user's post. Instead of putting it in the post I was editing it put it in the Quick Reply at the bottom of the screen. I must say that I was using "Quick Edit" and not "Modify" to modify the post.

Bigguy

That's kinda weird. This could be another bug. :ys

not a really a bug, it wasn't built to be able to tell where you want that quote to go, and making it do that beats the idea of "Quick Edit", if you want further editing options, just go to the full edit page and there you'll be able to add a quote from previous posts.

I thought as much but wanted to make sure. Thanks.

as an aside quick reply is pointless to me - is there a way to turn it off? So just have normal (full) reply' function.
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

We used to be able to turn it off in SMF 2.0.15,  but I cant find that option in 2.1
You cannot see attachments on this board.

The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe

They took that option out. The way you see the quick reply is what you get. You can add smileys to it but then there is no reason for the full reply at all. Someone should make a mod to turn off quick reply. ;)

Just click the "Preview" button and you'll get the full reply.
