This is going to be a list of free software that will run on current o/s's for desktops and laptops only. Not tablets or cells.

Bigguy

If anyone's got any more post'm up and I'll add them to the list. :)

FileZilla for FTP
LibreOffice and Apache OpenOffice for office suites
GIMP - image editing
Inkscape - vector graphics
7-Zip - archive utility
Notepad++ - code editor
Paint.NET - image editing (less intimidating than GIMP; not sure how they compare feature-wise)
Cincy Space - now open! https://www.cincyspace.net

Bigguy

Added to first post, thank you.

LandyVlad

Obviously GOOD free software, recommended by forum members - as opposed to just 'any' free software, the list of which is nearly endless and mostly useless.  :)
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

Bigguy

Tried, tested and true. ;)

I would advise anyone about using Avast or AVG virus protect, it installs AvLaunch which is almost impossible to remove, AvLaunch is
Quoteavlaunch.exe is a legitimate file. This process is known as AVLaunch MFC Application. It belongs to AVLaunch Application. It is commonly stored in C:\Windows\System32. Malware authors write different types of malicious programs and name them as avlaunch.exe to spread virus.

Note: sometimes free software is not as good as paid software..Free doesn't give you all the benefits.

I use a lot of those and have used all of them at one time or another except:

...until now. Works great! :) Here's one...

Works great while using any other software or just to pick up screen colors.

Thanks for the tip, Ron. :)

I love all of the features it has! My fav is the ability to save a list of picked colors like from a theme. Saves a lot of time later! ;)

Skhilled

RJ TextEd - Very good and free text editor. Notepad++ is still my fav. LOL

GSplit - A file splitter in case you have files that are too large to send via email or upload.

Bigguy

I will add those in today at some point.

Well if you want my code I was working on here https://cctestsite.info/testsite3/index.php?page=links  and adapt it for your own use you're welcome.  Should be responsive.  I think  #LandyVlad was asking about this too, and I meant to post it up.  It works, but I was going to jazz it up a bit, just haven't got around to it yet.

Bigguy

I got it to float left and right and all that. Like you said though it needs to be jazzed up a bit. Your page looks good though. The editor is a bit tricky to use...well I find it is anyway. I'll see what I can do but will probably go with what you have in the end, lol.

Well you're welcome to try it.  It will have a few links in it though, just for example purposes, so you can see what goes where.  Coding isn't a strong point of mine so, might be a tad messy. lol..

Just let me know if you want it, and where to post it. ;)
