QuoteWhat's the use case for Puter?Puter can be used as:
  • An alternative to Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc. with a fresh interface and powerful features.
  • Remote desktop environment for servers and workstations.
  • A platform for building and hosting websites, web apps, and games.
  • A friendly, open-source project and community to learn about web development, cloud computing, distributed systems, and much more!

Is it a manager for docker? I don't understand the use case for this.
Their website has been trying to setup my account for the last 10 minutes.

Hi, sorry that I missed this. 've been busy in the kitchen most of the day. :P

From what I can see, you can use their server, there are some public servers available and you can self-host it. I did see Docker mentioned in several places but I've only used Docker once and that was awhile back.

Instead of keeping things on your laptop/desktop you can do and/or store whatever you want just like a real PC/laptop. Basically, I look at it like a new toy to play with. LOL I've played with the demo version and it works rather well. Since, I'm only on a VPS and not a dedi like I used to be I haven't tried to self-host it.

I forgot to post the dev's Reddit sub. You can post questions, reviews, suggestions for features, etc. The guy seems like he loves what he's doing and answers peoples questions regularly.

I wish I could afford a dedicated server so that I could install more things to play with like this. LOL

EDIT: Here's the Docker info for Puter:
