I always keep my browsers updated AFTER checking if it is safe to do so. ;) A chrome update or so ago caused a lot of problems for people. ;)

:ys Updates of any kind can cause problems. Updating windows not to long ago and I couldn't create folders for some damn reason. I think it boils down to things needing more testing before they are pushed out.
